Hero MotoCorp is all set to launch the 2023 Splendor Plus soon as the company has flung a new teaser on its social media handles. The country’s best selling two-wheeler is about to receive a comprehensive upgrade after years now.
For starters, the Hero Splendor Plus (previously called just Splendor) was first launched in 1994 and now is about to complete 30 years of continuous production.
Every month, this little 97 cc motorcycle sells over 2.5 lakh units in India. The bike has been a part of more than 10 crore households since its inception.
In its new teaser, Hero has stated that bold new style meets futuristic technology. The brand has also put up as hast tag ‘new bike’. From these wordings, we can somewhat make out that the upcoming Splendor Plus might feature Bluetooth technology for the first time.
Connected technology is the current trend both in cars as well as 2 wheelers. Brands like TVS, Suzuki, Yamaha have already introduced connected technologies on their best sellers. Even Hero currently sells it Glamour XTEC with connected features.
Some of its features include navigation assist, notification alerts, weather updates, on-board vehicle diagnostics, and tracking among others.
Secondly, from the teasers, we can guess that the bike might get a fresh splash of colours. The teaser hints at a matte black paint job with a bluish hue at random places. The bike might also get a dedicated drl now.
There’s an yellowish hue on the headlight meaning the bike will continue with a halogen setup rather than LEDs. The overall silhouette remains the same though.
When launched, it will compete against TVS Sport, Star City Plus, Radeon, Bajaj Platina, CT, Honda CD Dream, and Livo.
