The Auto Expo will be held in 2023, after the 2022 edition was cancelled due to the pandemic
The next edition of the Auto Expo is set to be held in 2023, likely between 1st and 10th February.
Last held in 2020, the biennial event should have had the subsequent edition held in 2022. But, the announcement of its cancellation was made in August this year.
The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) had conveyed that the ‘Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2022’ was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The decision to cancel the event was made keeping in mind the safety of exhibitors, visitors and all stakeholders involved. It was supposed to take place between 2nd and 9th February, 2022 at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida.
Director General, SIAM, Rajesh Menon, has revealed that discussions are currently underway regarding the next Auto Expo. However, he has stated that the dates have not been confirmed as of yet.
SIAM has earlier made it clear that it would need a lead time of preferably a year to organise the expo which should also be in alignment with the OICA calendar of auto shows.
