2022 Toyota Glanza spotted, only thing camouflaged are the new badges
2022 Toyota Glanza spotted testing soon after the new Maruti Baleno launched. The undisguised test mule looks exactly the same as Maruti’s version. The tail lights and bumper design is ditto. The only difference we can notice here is the new badging (which is hidden) and the 8-spoke alloy wheels. Can you see that ‘V’ lettering just above the tail light? That’s the range topping variant.
There are no spy shots of the front profile but we believe it’ll get a slightly different grille with a Toyota badge on it just like the outgoing model and revised DRL layout. If Toyota wants to differentiate with the OG Baleno, they might offer some new colour options with the Glanza.
The interior should be the same apart from the Toyota logo on the steering wheel and a slightly different upholstery theme. There will be no changes in terms of features, it will continue to offer Head-up display, 360 degree camera, cruise control, new infotainment, 6 airbags, etc.
It’ll be powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol motor producing 88.5 BHP and 113 Nm with idle start-stop tech and two gearbox options – 5-speed manual and AMT.
Unofficial bookings of the Toyota Glanza have commenced at the dealer level and the car is expected to hit the showrooms sometime in March.
