2022 Tata Tigor EV Launched, Priced From Rs. 11.99 Lakhs

The 2022 Tata Tigor EV price ranges between Rs. 11.99 lakhs and Rs. 13.14 lakhs (ex-showroom)

Tata has launched the 2022 Tigor EV with a price tag that starts at Rs. 11.99 lakhs (ex-showroom), today in India.

Available in 3 variants – XE, XM and XZ+ (also comes in dual tone exterior colour with a gloss black roof), the model year 2022 compact electric sedan joins the Nexon EV in the car brand’s electric portfolio.

Offered with Daytona Grey and Teal Blue colour choices, the electric vehicle adopts the Nexon EV’s high voltage Ziptron technology.

A 55 kW (74 HP) permanent magnet synchronous AC motor making a peak torque output of 170 Nm provides the drive. It draws power from a 26 kWh Lithium-ion battery pack.

Tata has stated that the EV can complete the 0-60 km/hr sprint in 5.7 seconds, while the claimed range of the vehicle that comes with a ‘Sport’ mode is 306 km.

Previously, the Tigor EV came with a 21.5 kWh battery pack, a 40.2 HP motor (with 105 Nm of torque) and a claimed range of 213 km.

The battery pack can be charged from 0-80 percent in 8.5 hours using a 15 A plug point and in an hour using a fast charger. In addition, Tata will offer a portable charging cable with the EV.

Both the electric motor and a battery pack come with a 8 years and 1.60 lakh kilometre warranty. Also, the battery complies with AIS-048 standard for nail penetration (at cell level).

Safety-wise, the 2022 Tigor EV comes equipped with dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, Corner Stability Control (CSC), hill ascent assist and hill descent assist.
