The 2022 Range Rover comes with a mammoth price tag, just like its predecessor
Land Rover has launched the 2022 Range Rover with a base asking price of Rs. 2.32 crores (ex-showroom), today in India. The luxury SUV is available to order now in the country.
The fifth-generation Range Rover which is built on Land Rover’s new flexible Modular Longitudinal Architecture is available in SE, HSE and Autobiography grades, joined by a ‘First Edition’ model only for the first year of production.
The car which still retains the classic falling roofline, rising sill line, short front overhang and boat tail rear design features despite being completely new inside and out, comes in both standard and long wheelbase (LWB) body designs.
The luxury SUV is equipped with features such as an Active Noise Cancellation system, Tailgate Event Suite, Software-Over-The-Air (SOTA) updates, Pivi Pro infotainment system (13.1-inch curved touchscreen), 13.7-inch driver’s display, Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) system (11.4-inch touchscreens), 8-inch rear touchscreen controller, 3D Surround camera system, among several others.
In addition, for the price, the 2022 Range Rover will come equipped with all-wheel steering, Dynamic Response Pro and pre-emptive air suspension, and of course the fabled Terrain Response 2 system.
There are 2 petrol engines and 1 oil burner on offer with the luxury SUV. The 3.0-litre mild-hybrid petrol (6-cylinder) engine (P400) makes 394 BHP and 550 Nm, while the flagship 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 (P530) makes 523 BHP and 750 torques.
The sole 6-cylinder 3.0-litre mild-hybrid diesel engine (D350) delivers 346 BHP and 700 Nm of torque and all motors are mated to an automatic gearbox which is paired with a 4-wheel drive system.
