The 2022 MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RS is a more softer machine than the RR
MV Agusta has revealed the 2022 Brutale 1000 RS, which sits below the Brutale 1000 RR in its product range.
Priced at €25,500 (Rs. 22.20 lakhs) in Europe, it costs less than the RR thanks to getting rid of premium Ohlins suspension.
Instead, the super naked motorcycle has an adjustable 50 mm inverted Marzocchi front fork and an adjustable Sachs rear monoshock. But the Ohlins electronic steering damper has been carried over.
The other important difference between the 2022 MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RS and RR is with the riding position, which is now revised courtesy of raised handlebars and new foot pegs.
In addition, the motorcycle also comes with seats that are well-cushioned, new mirrors and a slightly different rear wheel.
However, the steel trellis frame, 5.5-inch TFT screen, single-sided swingarm, and a whole host of electronic functions like front and rear wheel lift control, cornering ABS and launch control stay the same.
Weighing 186 kg dry, the Brutale 1000 RS is powered by a 998cc, 4-cylinder motor that makes 208 HP and 116.5 Nm of torque and is teamed to a 6-speed gearbox with an electronic bi-directional quickshifter.
A bike that has a 300 km/hr top speed should also have good brakes and MV has given the 1000 RS dual front 320 mm discs with Brembo Stylema 4-piston calipers and 220 mm rear disc with a 2-piston Brembo caliper.
