The next-generation Maruti Vitara Brezza should be available at showrooms come February 2022
Maruti Suzuki plans to launch the second-generation Vitara Brezza at the 2022 Auto Expo, while its unveil is likely to take place by the end of this year.
The next generation model of very popular sub-4-metre SUV will come with a new design inside and out and it will be based on the carmaker’s HEARTECT platform.
Visually, as per reports, the vehicle should look more bolder than its predecessor and feature sleek new lighting units, along with a revised radiator grille and bumpers.
On the inside, the dashboard will have a fresh design and it should host a large touchscreen, while the compact SUV is also expected to come with a lot more features than it does in its current avatar.
The 2022 Maruti Vitara Brezza will come with both petrol and diesel engines, unlike the current model. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor (103 HP and 138 Nm), however, is expected to be assisted by a more effective hybrid system.
And yes, the 1.5-litre diesel motor will also be offered with the car which will also come with a couple of transmission options – 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic.
Although the current model is not bad when it comes to keeping its occupants safe, the 2022 Maruti Vitara Brezza is expected to be better in this regard and should come with up to 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, ISOFIX anchor points, and more.
Before Maruti launches the new generation Vitara Brezza, it would have introduced the all-new Celerio hatchback by September this year and the diesel variant of the XL6 by 2022 January.
