The 2022 Vitara Brezza was spotted when Maruti was conducting on-road tests
The new generation Maruti Vitara Brezza, expected to be launched by early 2022 in the market, has been spotted recently.
Retaining its upright stance, the compact SUV comes with a more bolder front fascia by the look of things. The thick trim piece that connects the new headlights should come in chrome.
Below it there are 2 more horizontal elements that divide the lower air intake. One can also see the fog lights placed in new housings and the front skid plate element.
Of course, Maruti has done a good job wrapping the car in the black material which does make it hard to discern the overall design.
Along the sides, the recently spotted 2022 Maruti Vitara Brezza, which rides on alloy wheels, had the same wheel arch styling of the current model.
Similarly, the raked windscreen and front door look very similar to the Vitara Brezza that is on sale now. However, the rear windows do look smaller as the beltline rises a bit more sharply than before.
Sporting pull-type door handles, the compact SUV also has a rear roof spoiler, windscreen wiper, and a new boot lid and back bumper.
Expect the car to come with full-LED lights, plentiful body cladding, a fresh interior, the latest generation infotainment touchscreen, smartphone connectivity, among other features and enough space for 5 adults inside.
Built on Maruti’s HEARTECT platform, the new generation Vitara Brezza should retain the current 1.5-litre petrol engine, but is likely to boast an improved hybrid system. A 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic will be offered as transmission choices.
The current generation Vitara Brezza costs between Rs. 7.61 lakhs and Rs. 11.19 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the new model could well cost more. However, like the first Brezza, its successor should also be offered in a range of colour choices.
