A few images of the production-spec 2022 Maruti Vitara Brezza have found their way onto the internet
Images of the new generation, model year 2022 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza have leaked online before the country’s top automaker could officially unveil the vehicle.
Painted in white, the unit in the images is completely undisguised, and thus provides one a clear view of the new design of the second-generation Vitara Brezza.
Up front, the compact SUV, has a rather flat bonnet, sharp headlights, a stylish radiator grille with the right amount of chrome, and a lower bumper section that features fog lamps and black and grey-coloured elements, including a skid plate.
Featuring new ORVMs with integrated blinkers, the new generation Brezza has chunky wheel arch and door cladding, blacked pillars, new alloy wheels and roof rails.
In the back, there are a pair of sharp-looking split tail lights, a roof spoiler, a long tailgate with character lines and creases and a neat bumper with lots of plastic cladding and a skid plate.
Inside, the leaked 2022 Maruti Vitara Brezza images show that the car will feature the Swift’s steering wheel, an instrument cluster with twin analogue dials flanking a small MID, and a new dashboard.
On the dash is a new and larger free-standing infotainment touchscreen and below it are the central air vents. Also, the model in the images is the automatic variant that features paddle shifters on the steering wheel, while it also has an electric sunroof.
Of course, the new Vitara Brezza will come with smartphone connectivity and many other features, and it is expected that the quality of the cabin will be better than the current model.
Built on Maruti’s HEARTECT platform, the compact SUV is expected to retain the current 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. But, it should get a better hybrid system.
In terms of gearboxes, customers will have the option to choose between a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. A CNG variant of this Vitara Brezza should also be on offer.
Likely to be unveiled before the end of this year and launched in February 2022, the new Brezza should continue the successful run the original has enjoyed to this date.
