2022 Maruti Ertiga & XL6 spied reaching dealerships ahead of launch
2022 Maruti Ertiga and XL6 spied as the MPVs are getting a mid-life update. Dealer dispatch for both the cars commence and we expect the carmaker to announce the pricing by next week.
Kia recently introduced the Carens with an aggressive price tag targeting a wide range of buyers. To counter the heat from the South Korean rival, Maruti is updating both the MPVs to keep up their sales momentum.
However, this is just a minor update with minimal cosmetic changes on both the products. The Ertiga and XL6 will get new grille, bumpers and new alloy wheel design.
The interior too is expected to see some changes like new colour scheme, updated infotainment system with the latest UI (SmartPlay Pro), new speakers and a few additional features to lure the buyers.
Maruti Suzuki is also expected to offer new colour options with the facelifted models. We don’t expect any changes under the hood. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine will continue to be offered producing 105 PS and 138 Nm torque, mated to a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.
