The 2022 Ertiga bookings are accepted at Maruti’s Arena showrooms and online
Bookings for the 2022 Maruti Ertiga have begun today in India. The MPV which has received a midlife refresh can be booked at an initial payment of Rs. 11,000/-.
Visually, the facelifted Ertiga looks almost identical to the 2021 model, save for the radiator grille that is similar to the unit on the 2022 Baleno. The MPV is also expected to get a new set of wheels.
Maruti claims the 2022 Ertiga will have enhanced comfort and new technology. The MPV will be fitted with a 7-inch SmartPlay Pro infotainment touchscreen, replacing the earlier SmartPlay Studio system, among other features.
Since the Swift maker says the Ertiga’s safety will also be improved, we are guessing that the model can be purchased with up to 6 airbags at least in fully kitted out trim.
As reported by us earlier, the 2022 Ertiga comes powered by a new 1.5-litre, K-series Dual Jet, Dual VVT (naturally aspirated) engine with Progressive Smart Hybrid Technology.
Maruti has not disclosed the power output of the unit which is said to be 115 HP. What the company has revealed is that the facelifted model will come with improved fuel-efficiency over the current version that does up to 19.01 km/l (5-speed manual).
The long-standing rumour with regard to the automatic transmission has now become true as the top car brand of India has confirmed that the MPV will indeed get a new 6-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. The 5-speed manual will be the mainstay.
What’s more, the 2022 Ertiga S-CNG will be available in the ZXI grade as well. It was, until now, offered only in VXI trim. Since the 2022 Maruti Ertiga bookings have commenced, the prices of all variants of the MPV will be announced soon.
