The new AMT gear selector of the 2022 Maruti Celerio has been spotted
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Celerio has been spotted once again. The hatchback is set to go on sale in a week’s time.
By this time, keen readers of MotorBeam would have a clear idea as to how this new urban runabout from Maruti will look like.
The design team that worked on the car clearly pinched styling elements from other Maruti cars and applied it to the new Celerio.
Nonetheless, the hatchback does come with a neutral exterior design which would please Maruti aficionados. However, it is evident that the second-generation Celerio has been built on a budget.
Thus far, the car has been spotted in different colours. While the Red and Blue shades have been seen a lot, recently, the Celerio was also seen in a somber Grey paint scheme as well.
Images of the car’s interior have also been floating online of late. However, in these recent images, we see the new gear selector the car’s AMT variant will sport.
It sits in a circular housing and has a brushed metal-esque trim (which is used for the housing as well) and looks like a novelty item.
Other things that can be seen from the interior of the recently spotted 2022 Maruti Celerio include old school air-con controls, a pair of cup holders, manual handbrake and the multi-functional steering wheel.
To be powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, K10C DualJet petrol motor which should make around 68 BHP and 94 Nm of torque, the front-wheel drive car will be offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT option.
Full details of the new generation Celerio will be disclosed when it gets launched on 10th November, 2021.
