The specs of the 2022 Maruti Baleno have leaked already
While Maruti is getting ready to launch the 2022 Baleno, the car’s specs have leaked thanks to type approval certification which has been published online.
According to the document, the 2022 model of the premium hatchback will come only with the 1.2-litre K12N petrol engine making 88.5 BHP at 6000 RPM. It will have 12 V mild-hybrid assistance.
The other petrol motor with the same capacity and lower power output has been dropped. Similarly, the 2022 Baleno will not be offered with a CVT, for an AMT replaces it. The 5-speed manual has been retained.
Maruti will sell the manual version of the facelifted Baleno in Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Zeta (O), Alpha and Alpha (O) grades. The AMT version will be offered in all but the Sigma variant.
Apart from mild differentiation to its specs, 2022 Maruti Baleno will also come with a completely revised exterior featuring new lights, bumpers, wheels and boot lid, while on the inside, almost everything is brand-new as well.
The car will now come with a new dashboard, a head-up display, 9-inch touchscreen for the SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, connected car tech, wireless phone charging, Alexa voice commands, 360-degree camera, cruise control among others.
Further, Maruti will also offer the car with up to 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) for improved safety and there will be as many as 6 exterior shades for customers to choose from.
Dealers across the nation have begun receiving the new Baleno to their yards already and the car will continue to primarily compete against the Tata Altroz and Hyundai i20.
