The model year 2022 Maruti Baleno will come with a completely revised interior
Maruti is working to introduce a heavily revised Baleno for model year 2022 and images of the car’s interior have made their way online.
Back in August we brought you exclusive images of the facelifted Baleno’s development mule and a few days later, its dashboard was spied as well.
Here we have the complete dashboard layout of the revised Baleno and it is clear that Maruti has chosen to entirely overhaul the vehicle inside and out.
Having borrowed the multifunctional steering wheel from the Swift (which has leatherette covering from the looks of it), the 2022 Baleno also comes with a revised instrument cluster which still retains the semi-digital layout.
The dashboard is a multi-layered unit that replaces the rather unpretentious item of the current model. It has a grey-coloured metal-effect trim on it, providing some contrast to an otherwise dull-coloured dash.
In the middle of the redesigned dashboard sits a larger touchscreen and slim central vents. Looks like Maruti took a leaf out of Tata Motors’ book when it comes to the placement of the infotainment display screen.
In addition, the 2022 Maruti Baleno interior images also show that the car will come with new switches for the automatic climate control, new side air vents, repositioned start-stop button, an array of switches below the right-side air vent and chrome detailing for some of the controls.
The refreshed Baleno will also come with cruise control, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, among various other features.
On the outside, the model year 2022 Baleno will come with new lights, bumpers and front radiator grille, along with a revised bonnet and different wheels.
For now, it is speculated that Maruti will not change the mechanical bits of the premium hatchback that is currently offered with 82 BHP 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.2-litre DualJet petrol motor with mild-hybrid assistance making 88.5 BHP. Transmission options include a 5-speed MT and CVT.
