For 2022, Maruti has heavily revised the Baleno and the brochure confirms it
The brochure of the 2022 Maruti Baleno has found its way on to the internet a couple of days ahead of the revised premium hatchback’s planned market introduction.
According to the leaked brochure, the 2022 Baleno will be 3990 mm long (with a wheelbase of 2520 mm), 1745 mm wide and 1500 mm tall.
As reported before, Maruti will retail the 2022 Baleno with a single 1197cc, 4-cylinder engine tuned to deliver 88.5 BHP at 6000 RPM and 113 Nm of torque at 4400 RPM. The engine can be teamed to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT.
Featuring a 37-litre fuel tank, the premium hatchback’s manual variants will weigh between 920 kg and 955 kg, while the AMT grades will have a heft of 935 kg to 960 kg. This is considerably more than what the car weighed earlier.
The claimed fuel economy figures for the manual and AMT grades are, respectively, 22.35 km/l and 22.94 km/l. Interestingly, the boot space of the Baleno has reduced by 20 litres for 2022. Now, the car can store up to 318 litres of baggage behind its rear seat.
To be offered with colour choices such as Grandeur Grey, Luxe Beige, Nexa Blue, Opulent Red, Pearl Arctic White and Splendid Silver, the heavily revised Baleno will come with more features this time around.
The car can be had with LED headlights, up to 6 airbags, connected tech, a touchscreen (2 sizes available), Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, auto air-con and more. The complete variant split and the list of features offered with each grade can be read here.
