The 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport global unveil will take place on 10th May
Land Rover is set to unveil its 2022 Range Rover Sport on 10th May and has teased the luxury SUV ahead of its debut next month. Slated to become the third generation model for the brand, the Range Rover Sports gets visible changes inside out.
Like the previous generation Range Rover Sports, the new model will also undertake a unique challenge during its upcoming unveil. It has previously completed a series of challenges including a record-setting hill-climb at Pikes Peak, the first recorded crossing of the ‘Empty Quarter’ desert in the Arabian Peninsula, and the first ascent of the 999 steps to Heaven’s Gate in China in 2018.
The new model sports slimmer headlights in a bright red shade which might become the signature colour of the SUV. There aren’t many changes to side as the new Range Rover Sport almost looks like the previous iteration. It will reportedly get the brand’s new MLA Flex architecture that promises 50 percent more torsional stiffness.
On the inside, there seems to be host of changes. The interior looks modern with a dynamic cockpit-like driving position with appreciable detailing. The touchscreen looks larger in size while the steering also looks updated with silver accents.
Coming to the powertrain, the new Sport might get BMW’s twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V8 S63 mill that puts out 626 HP and 750 Nm. But, the engine might be tuned by Land Rover to suit the luxury SUV. The 2022 Range Rover could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hr in 4.6 seconds with the new engine. In addition, there would also be various electric and hybrid powertrains on offer.
