The asking price of the 2022 Z900 is close to what Kawasaki said, in 2019, would be the cost of the BS6 model
Kawasaki has launched the model year 2022 (MY22) Z900 in India at an asking price of Rs. 8,42,000/- (ex-showroom).
Offered in a single colourway named Metallic Spark Black with Lime Green highlights providing contrast, the naked machine remains in terms of design.
The performance bike comes with full-LED lighting, a 4.3-inch TFT digital display, smartphone connectivity, and has features such as 2 power modes (Low and Full), 4 riding modes (Rain, Road, Sport and Rider (customisable)) and 3 level traction control.
Power comes from a 948cc, liquid-cooled, 4-cylinder engine making 125 PS at 9500 RPM and 98.6 Nm at 7700 RPM. It is teamed to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The Z900 has a 820 mm tall seat, weighs 212 kg, has a 17-litre fuel tank and rides on 120/70-section and 180/55-section, front and rear tyres.
It also sports adjustable 41 mm inverted front fork (120 mm travel), adjustable rear monoshock (140 mm travel), dual 300 mm front discs with 4-piston calipers and a 250 mm rear disc with a single piston caliper.
India Kawasaki Motors has also announced that its K-Care pack can be purchased along with the MY22 Z900. The pack includes 2 years extended warranty (2 years standard warranty) and annual maintenance contract for 4 years.
Although the 2022 Kawasaki Z900 price has been revealed now, deliveries of the middleweight model will only begin by the end of October.
Do note that the BS6 Z900 which was introduced in September last year cost Rs. 7.99 lakhs (ex-showroom) and it commanded a premium of Rs. 30,000/- over the 2019 BS4 model.
