The new black shade in the 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 300 teaser looks different from the current ebony option
Ahead of its launch in the coming days, Kawasaki India has released the teaser of the 2022 Ninja 300 on its social media handles. The entry-level sports bike, which got a rather late BS6 update in March last year, is set to receive a mild cosmetic update this time although nothing is confirmed yet.
Going by the latest teaser, the 2-cylinder motorcycle will get a new black shade which is slightly different from the current BS6 model’s ebony black colour option. It gets new silver accents too.
Also, there’s a visible bulge in the instrument cluster which gives us a hint that a new LCD or TFT screen might be in the offing. A carbon-fibre-like pattern can also be seen surrounding the cluster.
Though the front indicators look identical to the current model, the headlights and tail lights might be LED units given the competition has them. But the bike will remain unchanged mechanically.
Thus, the 296cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine will continue to deliver a maximum of 39 HP at 11,000 RPM and 26.1 Nm at 10,000 RPM, making the bike one of the fastest in its class.
The Ninja 300 has a steel tube diamond frame, 37 mm telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear (with 5-way adjustable preload) and petal-shaped discs at both wheels for providing the stopping power.
The motorcycle is currently retailed at Rs. 3.37 lakhs (ex-showroom), and once the updated model gets introduced, it should, in all likelihood, cost more.
