The 2022 Honda CB300R specs came to light thanks to the model’s type approval certificate
The type approval certificate of the 2022 Honda CB300R has revealed the specs of the soon-to-be launched motorcycle.
Unveiled around this time last month at the India Bike Week 2021, the naked motorcycle is set to be manufactured in the country and launched this very month.
Powered by the same 286cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 4-valve motor, the CB300R, in BS6 form, has to make do with 22.9 kW or 30.71 BHP at 9000 RPM.
By comparison, the engine delivered 31.4 HP while complying with BS4 norms and pushed out 27.5 Nm. The torque rating of the BS6 version of the motor is not known.
Featuring no design changes, the 2022 CB300R will be available in Matte Steel Black and Pearl Spartan Red colourways and will sport gold-coloured inverted front forks, grey-coloured frame and a restyled exhaust canister.
The “Neo Sports Cafe” motorcycle will also come with a digital instrument cluster, a 6-speed with an assist and slipper clutch, a 296 mm front disc (4-piston radial-mounted caliper), a 220 mm rear disc along and dual channel ABS.
While the BS4 CB300R cost Rs. 2.41 lakhs (ex-showroom), the 2022 model manufactured in India should come with a similar price tag.
