UPDATE – The BS6-compliant CB300R will be manufactured in India and will not be a CKD model, Honda has revealed.

The model year 2022 Honda CB300R was showcased at the India Bike Week 2021

Honda has unveiled the model year 2022 CB300R at the current edition of the India Bike Week, today. It will be launched in January 2022 in the market.

The 286cc “Neo Sports Cafe” motorcycle is now BS6 compliant and will be manufactured in the country. The Japanese brand says the 2022 CB300R will be offered in 2 colours and they are – Matte Steel Black and Pearl Spartan Red.

For 2022, the roadster will feature gold-coloured inverted front forks, grey-coloured frame, a restyled exhaust end can, among other subtle changes.

The motorcycle will also come with a digital instrument cluster that will show information like gear position, side-stand indicator (with engine inhibitor), and so on.

Stylistically, the bike remains pretty much the same

Power comes from a 286cc, DOHC, 4-valve, liquid-cooled engine that is teamed to a 6-speed gearbox that finally gets an assist and slipper clutch. The exact power and torque figures produced by the motor will likely be revealed when the 2022 Honda CB300R gets launched.

That said, Honda has stated that the motorcycle will come with a 296 mm front disc with a 4-piston radial-mounted caliper and a 220 mm rear disc along with dual channel ABS assist.
