2022 BMW X4 price announced, locally assembled in India
2022 BMW X4 has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs. 70.50 lakhs for the xDrive30i petrol version and Rs. 72.50 lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom) for the xDrive30d diesel version. The Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) is locally assembled in India.
BMW India is offering the new X4 in an exclusive Black Shadow edition which is limited in numbers. It is available in Black Sapphire and M Brooklyn Grey metallic paintworks. The interior gets Leather Vernasca upholstery with ‘Black’ decor stitching and M interior trim Aluminium Rhombicledark with highlight trim finisher in Pearl Chrome.
The front profile of the facelifted car comes with redesigned grille, new headlights that are 10 mm slimmer and flatter and revised front apron. The SUV Coupe comes with 20-inch M alloy wheels and M Sport Brakes with red callipers. The rear also gets mild revisions for a sharper look.
Some of the interior highlights include sports seats, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, welcome light carpet, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, HUD, 3D navigation, gesture control, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Harman Kardon Surround Sound System with 16 speakers, etc.
Safety tech includes six airbags, Attentiveness Assistance, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Cornering Brake Control (CBC), electric parking brake with auto hold, side-impact protection, electronic vehicle immobilizer and crash sensor, ISOFIX child seat mounting, etc.
The X4 is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine of the xDrive30i produces 252 HP and 350 Nm torque. It does 0-100 km/hr in 6.6 seconds.
The 3.0-litre 6-cylinder diesel engine of the xDrive30d produces 265 HP and 620 Nm torque. It does 0-100 km/hr in 5.8 seconds. Both the engines are mated to an 8-speed auto transmission.
There are multiple drive modes on offer – ECOPRO, COMFORT, SPORT/ SPORT+. It also comes with Automatic Differential Brakes/Locks (ADB-X)’, extended ‘Dynamic Traction Control (DTC)’, Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control.
