The new colours the 2022 BMW G 310 R will be available with include Cosmic Black 2 and Style Passion
BMW Motorrad India has revealed the new colours the 2022 model year G 310 R roadster, which can be booked at authorised dealerships now, will be available with.
The new colours are Style Passion and Cosmic Black 2. Currently, the motorcycle is available in Cosmic Black, Polar White and Style Sport paint schemes of which the Polar White shades seems to have been dropped for model year 2022.
Essentially an updated version of the current Cosmic Black paint option, the Cosmic Black 2 comes without a majority of the former colour scheme’s white accents.
The Style Passion, the second of the 2022 BMW G 310 R colours, is an inverse of the Style Sport colour choice. In the new paint scheme, white panels replace black ones and vice versa. The same applies to the stickers as well.
Mechanically, the 2022 model should remain similar to the current BS6 version which is powered by a 313cc water-cooled motor putting out 34 PS at 9250 RPM an 28 Nm at 7500 RPM. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with an anti-hopping clutch.
Capable of hitting a top speed of 143 km/hr, the roadster features full LED lighting units, 41 mm inverted front fork, pre-load adjustable rear monoshock and a cast aluminium swingarm.
Riding on 17-inch rims with 110/70-section front and 150/60-section rear tyres, the bike comes with a 300 mm front disc with a 4-piston caliper and a 240 mm rear disc with a single piston caliper along with ABS assist.
The 2021 G 310 R costs Rs. 2.60 lakhs (ex-showroom) and the 2022 model should continue with the same sticker price.
Moreover, since the G 310 R is getting new colours, the G 310 GS, which currently costs Rs. 3 lakhs (ex-showroom), should come with new paint options for model year 2022 as well.
