The 2022 Benelli Leoncino 125 looks like a scaled down version of bigger Leoncinos
After showcasing its flagship ADV, Benelli has unveiled the 2022 Leoncino 125, the tiniest model of its scrambler range, at EICMA 2021.
Visually, the motorcycle looks very much like the bigger Leoncino 500 on sale in India at present, as the bodywork is very similar, with the 125cc motorcycle even featuring the “Lion of Pesaro” ornament on the front mudguard.
However, it does have a different and oval headlight unit and, this is rather obvious, it is built on a different and smaller frame.
Power comes from a liquid-cooled 125cc motor having a 4-valve head that delivers a maximum of 12.8 HP at 9500 RPM and 10 Nm of peak torque at 8500 RPM. The engine is teamed to a 6-speed gearbox.
Riding on 17-inch alloy wheels, the 2022 Benelli Leoncino 125 sports 35 mm inverted front fork, a monoshock in the back and a single disc at each wheel with CBS.
While the motorcycle is set to be available overseas come spring 2022, it is not known if Benelli will bring it to India as things stand.
