TVS Apache RTR 200 4V (dual-channel ABS) has gained riding modes, adjustable front suspension, adjustable hand levers and a new colour option.
These additions have been made by the firm to celebrate its four million global sales milestone.
The three riding modes that are offered on the bike are Sport, Urban and Rain. TVS says the engine response is altered, ABS primed and gear shift assist tuned according to the mode selected.
As its name implies, the “Sport” mode offers a higher top speed of 127 km/hr and provides sharper acceleration, while the other two modes have a reduced top speed of 105 km/hr and a sensitive ABS.
Power figures also change according to the modes. For instance, peak power and torque in “Sport” mode is 20.82 PS at 9000 RPM and 17.25 Nm at 7250 RPM; and In Urban and Rain modes is 17.32 PS at 7800 RPM and 16.51 Nm at 5750 RPM.
A dedicated drive mode switch is present near the throttle and riders can switch between the modes on the fly.
Also new on the Apache RTR 200 4V is the adjustable Showa front suspension with preload adjustment and the 3-step adjustable hand levers.
All the above mentioned features are first-in-segment claims the manufacturer. Now, the bike also comes in a new Matte Blue colour in addition to the Gloss Black and Pearl White shades.
Additionally, the motorcycle has become lighter by one kg, and TVS claims to have refined the brake system to deliver a sharper and improved braking performance.
Available starting today, the bike is priced at Rs. 1,31,050/- (ex-showroom Delhi) and apart from the TVS Apache RTR 200 riding modes, comes with other features such as slipper clutch, Bluetooth-enabled TVS SmartXConnect and Glide Through Technology, to name a few.
