Triumph Motorcycles has revealed the 2021 Street Scrambler and Street Scrambler Sandstorm limited edition models.
Both motorcycles come powered by a 900cc parallel twin engine capable of making peak power of 65 PS at 7250 RPM and 80 Nm of maximum torque at 3250 RPM. The engine has a 5-speed gearbox with a torque-assist clutch fitted as standard.
2021 Triumph Street Scrambler –
There is no mistaking a 2021 Triumph Street Scrambler for another bike. Featuring minimal bodywork, the motorcycle has wide aluminium handlebars, wide-spaced forks with gaiters, high level twin exhaust, and wire-spoked wheels with black hubs and rims.
There are premium touches like the aluminium number board with embossed Street Scrambler logo incorporated into the side panel, brushed aluminium finish for the throttle body finishers, headlight brackets and heel guards.
Being a scrambler, the bike, which is available in 3 paint schemes (Jet Black, Urban Grey and Matt Khaki and Matt Ironstone) comes with ‘bear trap’ adventure style mid-position foot pegs too.
According to Triumph, it has a dedicated chassis set-up, long-travel suspension (120 mm front and rear), 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels wrapped with Metzeler Tourance (100-section front and 150-section rear) tyres, Brembo 4-piston front brake caliper (310 mm disc) and Nissin 2-piston rear caliper (255 mm disc).
Despite evoking scrambler models of the past, the 2021 Triumph Street Scrambler does come with new age technology such as switchable ABS, switchable traction control, ride-by-wire and 3 riding modes (Rain, Road and Off-Road).
When it comes to clocks, the circular cluster features an analogue speedometer and a digital display for the menus. Also, the bike comes with under-seat USB charger and a key-fob-incorporated immobiliser.
