Triumph has unveiled the 2021 Scrambler 1200 XC, XE and Steve McQueen limited edition models.
The motorcycles look ace with their classic dual-purpose look with wide handlebars, fuel tank with brushed aluminium Monza cap, flat seat with stitched ribbing, long-travel suspension, wire-spoked wheels and the high-set twin exhaust cans.
They also have aluminium mudguards, side panels with brushed aluminium Scrambler 1200 badge and an aluminium bash plate, while, in addition, the Scrambler 1200 XE gets hand guards, Brembo MCS lever, gold forks and an even longer aluminium swingarm.
Colour choices the 2021 Triumph Scrambler 1200 XC and XE come are available in include Cobalt Blue with Jet Black stripe, Matt Khaki Green with Jet Black stripe and Sapphire Black.
Based on the Scrambler 1200 XE and inspired by the original competition-spec Triumph TR6, the Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen Edition has been developed in partnership with the McQueen family.
This model comes with a custom ‘Competition Green’ paint scheme, brushed foil knee pads, hand-painted gold lining, gold heritage Triumph logos, Steve McQueen tank graphic, brushed aluminium Monza cap and brushed stainless steel tank strap.
Only 1000 units of the will be available worldwide and each will be individually numbered, fitted with premium Scrambler accessories as standard and will come with a certificate of authenticity.
But, despite having classic looks, the motorcycles do come with the latest tech like the TFT instrument cluster, illuminated switches, all-LED lighting units, keyless ignition and cruise control.
What’s more, they have up to 6 riding modes (including Off-Road Pro in XE), Optimised cornering ABS and, in the Scrambler 1200 XE, optimised cornering traction control.
Triumph has equipped them with serious kit such as adjustable long-travel Showa forks and Ohlins rear shocks (both with 250 mm travel), while the braking duty is done by Brembo hardware.
Powering the motorcycles is a 1200cc twin-cylinder engine tuned to produce a maximum of 90 PS at 7250 RPM and 110 Nm of torque at 4500 RPM. The exhaust system has been updated and is now said to have improved heat distribution.
The new Scrambler 1200 models can be fitted with the My Triumph connectivity system and, as ever, Triumph offers an array of accessories as well.
