Triumph has revealed the 2021 Rocket 3 R Black and Rocket 3 GT Triple Black limited edition models.
Having sold over 8000 new-generation Rocket 3s so far worldwide, the British brand has unveiled these 2 special models that will be limited to 1000 units each and will also come with a unique certificate of authenticity.
As per their name, both models now sport a black colour scheme. However, while the 2021 Triumph Rocket 3 R Black has an all-black attire, the Rocket 3 GT Triple Black has 3 shades of black in its paint scheme.
They also come with a carbon fibre front mudguard, blacked out engine, exhaust headers, heat shields, rear wheel finisher and badging and even the intake cover is powder coated with crinkle black.
In addition, the headlight bezels, fly screen finishers, radiator cowls, seat finishers and rear body finishers of both models are all painted black and there are other black anodised components, like the footrests and bar-end mirrors, too.
Powering both the 2021 Triumph Rocket 3 R Black and Rocket 3 GT Triple Black is the 2500cc 3-cylinder engine that makes 165 BHP at 6000 RPM and 221 Nm at 4000 RPM. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Weighing just over 290 kg (dry), both models get a 18-litre fuel tank, have 47 mm adjustable Showa USD forks and rear monoshock, and ride on 150-section front (R17) and 240-section rear (R16) tyres.
Featuring a TFT instrument display, the motorcycles also have full LED lighting, 4 riding modes, cruise control, hill hold control, cornerning ABS, traction control, a USB charging socket and keyless ignition, among other features.
In the UK, Triumph asks £1000 (Rs. 1 lakh) more for the new limited edition models of the Rocket 3 R and GT over the regular variant prices. Thus, a similar strategy is likely to be followed in India as well.
