Toyota has officially revealed the Innova Crysta facelift in Indonesia and the same is expected to be launched by next year, albeit with a few changes, in our market.
The car, which was launched in 2016, has now a got revised front fascia. The grille is now smaller and forgoes the dual chrome slats in favour of five thin horizontal ones.
However, there is a thick chrome trim that forms of the outline of the grille and runs from one headlight to another. Further, there are new LED DRLs, a tweaked bumper with a different lower portion that also has a faux skid plate and redesigned fog lights placed in a different housing.
At the rear, the changes are limited to the addition of a black trim that connects the tail lights and a hexagonal section for the number plate housing. Also, there are new alloy wheels.
Inside, the MPV sports an all-black theme, while the instrument cluster has been revised. The Indonesian Toyota Innova Crysta facelift now gets a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay on the top-spec version.
Like before, the car can be had as a 7-seater and 8-seater and features offered include air purifier, cruise control, speed-sensing door locks, keyless entry and go, ambient lighting, leatherette seat covers, reversing camera, and for safety, there are seven airbags, VSC, HSA, among others.
No mechanical changes have been made on the Indonesian facelift version and this will be true for the Indian car as well.
Thus, the 2.7-litre petrol and 2.4-litre diesel engines and manual and automatic gearbox options offered on the pre-facelift model will be carried forward. India launch of the Toyota Innova Crysta facelift will happen next year.
