Tata Motors has launched the 2021 Tiago XTA at a price of Rs. 5.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), today.
By doing so, the carmaker has made the automatic variants of its entry-level hatchback more accessible, as the next variant, the XZA, costs Rs. 47,000/- more.
In addition, the XTA trim is Rs. 50,000/- more expensive than the XT variant equipped with the 5-speed manual, which is in-line with the price difference between manual and AMT variants of the car.
According to Head of Marketing, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit (PVBU), Tata Motors, Vivek Srivatsa, the decision to launch the XTA variant of the Tiago was made due to the increasing preference for automatics in the market.
Powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol motor that produces 86 PS max power and 113 Nm peak torque, the Tiago XTA comes with a 5-speed AMT.
The 2021 Tata Tiago XTA price will get customers follow-me-home lamps, rear park assist sensor and display, 14-inch wheels, day and night IRVM, ConnectNext infotainment system and multi-function steering wheel, among others.
Safety features in the car include dual front airbags, seat belt pretensioners and load limiters, ABS, EBD and corner stability control.
Do note that the carmaker launched a limited edition version of the hatchback based on the XT manual variant with more features like 14-inch alloy wheels, 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and more, in January.
