Tata has teased the interior of the 2021 Safari, which is due to be unveiled soon, and by the looks of things, the firm does not want to leave anything to our imagination.
It looks like when it gets launched, the Safari will come as a 6-seater with 2 captain chairs offered in the middle row.
We had, only recently, reported that the Safari will come with a panoramic sunroof and this 2021 Tata Safari interior teaser image confirms that by showing the sky on top and throwing some light on the seats.
Variants without the sunroof will probably not be bad inside either, for the upholstery is light-coloured, which should go some way toward making it a nice place to be in.
The third row of seats can also be seen in the teaser image and they might be best suited only for small adults. The SUV also comes with a revised radiator grille and a stepped roof.
Further, the car will come with a revised tail section sporting a slightly longer tail gate, different bumper housing silver-finish trim piece and dual exhaust outlets, which should be enough to differentiate it from the Harrier.
Scheduled to be unveiled later this month, the new Safari’s bookings have reportedly commenced, but Tata has not made an official announcement about it yet.
Set to sit at the top of the carmaker’s product portfolio, the Safari will be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel motor making 170 PS and 350 Nm and will come with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox options.
In order to do justice to the Safari nomenclature, Tata is expected to give the car 4-wheel-drive and good off-road capabilities in the near future, if not from the get-go.
