2021 Tata Safari grille revealed in the latest teaser. The SUV will hit the showrooms this month itself. The iconic name is back again and it’s used for the 7-seater version of the Harrier that was showcased as the Gravitas concept last year at the Auto Expo.
The Indian carmaker first teased the silhouette of the SUV while announcing the nomenclature two days back. Now, they have revealed the new chrome grille of the production version.
This shiny new chrome grille will differentiate the Safari from the Harrier as the latter comes with a gloss black grille with a different design.
The chrome grille on the Safari looks much better and premium than what was showcased on the Gravitas concept. If you notice, the 2021 Tata Safari grille gets the signature Bi Arrow design elements that we’ve seen on the Nexon facelift recently.
We hope it gets more such premium and differentiating elements compared to the Harrier to make it stand out. Even the dark blue colour in the teaser image looks pleasing.
We’ve also seen a leaked image of the rear profile in this colour and we believe it will be their marketing colour of choice for the new Safari.
It is based on the OMEGARC platform and will be sharing most of the elements with the Harrier. Even the wheelbase and track remains the same. The length of the car has increased by 70 mm to accommodate the third row of seats.
It will get the same powertrain options as the Harrier which gets a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 170 PS and 350 Nm torque. It comes with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options.
