Tata has begun accepting bookings for the 2021 Safari and the token amount for the same has been set at Rs. 30,000/-.
The SUV will be available in a total of 6 variants (XE, XM, XT, XT+, XZ and XZ+) for the manual and 3 variants (XMA, XZA and XZA+) for the automatic model (there is a 6-seater version only in the top-spec trim).
Set to get launched soon, deliveries of the 2021 Tata Safari, which can be had in either of the 3 colour options, will commence from 22nd February.
As standard (XE trim), the new Safari comes with projector headlamps, dual function DRLs, power windows, tilt and telescopic adjustable steering, rear parking sensors, smart charger (for second and third rows), Boss mode, among others.
Safety features in the base variant include dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP, disc brakes on all corners, traction control, hill hold control, rollover mitigation and corner stability control.
Suffice it to say as one goes up the variant ladder, the 2021 Safari will come with more features including an 8.8-inch touchscreen, terrain response modes, panoramic sunroof, electronic parking brake with auto hold, to name a few.
A 2.0-litre diesel engine good for 170 PS and 350 Nm is under the SUV’s bonnet and it is connected to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic.
With the 2021 Tata Safari bookings commenced and the date of commencement of deliveries announced, expect the ex-showroom prices of the vehicle to also be announced in due order.
