Skoda has officially revealed the design sketches of the 2021 Kodiaq facelift which will be unveiled globally on 13th April.
The Czech brand’s flagship SUV now features visual and technical updates. Take, for example, the headlights. These LED units have been redesigned and are slimmer than the ones in the pre-facelift model.
Like the pre-facelift car though, the fog lights in the 2021 model year Kodiaq sit below the main lights to form a four-eyed face.
In addition, the 2021 Skoda Kodiaq facelift design sketches also reveal a redesigned bonnet and a more upright, hexagonal Skoda grille featuring double slats.
The front bumper of the Kodiaq facelift has also been revised. The wider air dam has inverted L-shaped elements on either end and aluminium inserts too.
One other aspect of the SUV that has changed is with respect to the tail lamps. The design sketch shows the new sharp taillights that have, like the headlamps, slimmed-down a bit. Here, the brand’s crystalline structures are present and Skoda’s C-shape design is more flatter now.
According to the carmaker, the 2021 Kodiaq facelift will make it to India later this year. It might well be launched during the third quarter of this year. When it does get launched, the SUV will be powered by a 2.0-litre petrol motor that will be mated to a 7-speed DCT.
