Royal Enfield is working on the 2021 Himalayan and a mule has been spied while out testing on public roads.
It looks like the 2-wheeler brand is working on further refining the powertrain of the adventure motorcycle as it does not seem to sport any design changes.
Powered by a 411cc single cylinder putting out 24.3 BHP and 32 Nm, the motorcycle has enough poke to go off-road and amble around town with ease, for it is not about going fast.
If Royal Enfield manages to make the powertrain silky smooth and more efficient, if not make more power, it will help the motorcycle’s cause.
Also, the firm might work on the chassis and the ride, (why not? they are testing it anyway) so that the bike handles better than it currently does.
We can speculate that the 2021 Himalayan will come with the Tripper navigation system, first introduced on the Meteor 350, while some additional features might be added as well.
Although the Himalayan comes with some nice paint options, new shades might also be added, so as to give customers more options to choose from. Hopefully, the bike should not get more costlier.
It was only yesterday that a motorcycle sporting a single cylinder engine in the Interceptor 650’s chassis was spotted (read here) and we know that the firm is working on a 650cc cruiser as well.
With the brand bullish about becoming a global leader in the 350-750cc segment, we can only expect that there are good times are ahead for Enfield loyalists.
