Two examples of the 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 have been spotted on test runs and they look to be ready to enter mass production.
Spotted by MotorBeamer Anesh Darrel in Chennai, the 2 motorcycles however are a bit different from one another.
Take the motorcycle on the left, for example. It has clear lens indicators with black casing and a pillion backrest as well. The one on the right has orange blinker lens with chrome casing and a normal pillion grab handle.
Both models ride on spoke wheels, sport chrome-plated exhaust and mirrors and have new graphics as well.
Design-wise, the motorcycle has not seen a complete departure from the current-generation Classic 350’s styling. Since the model is the best-selling 2-wheeler for the brand, Royal Enfield has been cautious and has only made evolutionary changes.
Thus, while it is new, people who do not know much about bikes would find it hard to differentiate between the current model and its successor. But, it does have chunky new seats and a different new tail lamp as well.
We do not have the front profile of the 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 spotted on test, but it has been clearly pictured on previous occasions.
Based on the brand’s new modular J platform, the new-generation Classic 350 is expected to feature LED DRL, semi-digital instrument cluster and smartphone connectivity.
It will be powered by the 349cc engine, that already does duty on the Meteor 350, which is good for 20.2 BHP and 27 Nm and will come mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
Royal Enfield should offer vibrant colour options when it launches the bike this year. Expect to pay around Rs. 1.65 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the new Classic 350 when it hits showrooms across the country.
