MV Agusta has revealed the 2021 model year Brutale and Dragster that have received revisions to the chassis, electronic systems, among others.
Both bikes now get a 5.5-inch TFT instrument display, feature full-LED lighting and smartphone connectivity through the MV Ride application using which turn-by-turn navigation can also be accessed.
Featuring a reworked trellis frame which is claimed to have more rigidity, the 2021 MV Agusta Brutale and Dragster both feature a 798cc 3-cylinder motor that has new DLC-coated tappets and valve guides, new piston rod and countershaft bearings and new fuel injectors.
The motor puts out 140 HP at 12,300 RPM and 87 Nm at 10,250 RPM and enables both bikes to hit a top speed of 244 km/hr. Both bikes weigh 175 kg (dry) and have a 16.5-litre fuel tank.
Further, the bikes are said to have more accurate and smoother gearshifts, aided by the electronic bi-directional quickshifter and changes have been made to the exhaust system to help them meet Euro 5 emissions regulations.
Also revised on the 2021 model year Brutale and Dragster 800 RR SCS are the suspension units, while the latter also features a more wider 200/55-section rear tyre, and the seat has also been redesigned, resulting in a higher saddle height.
Furthermore, as part of the update to the electronics package, the bikes use a 6-axis IMU and has launch control, cornering ABS, wheelie control, traction control and, to make highway rides much better, cruise control too.
Price-wise, the 2021 Brutale starts from 17,000 euros (Rs. 14.99 lakhs) and the 2021 Dragster 800 starts from 20,000 euros (Rs. 17.63 lakhs).
