2021 MINI Countryman Launched, Priced From Rs. 39.50 Lakhs

The 2021 MINI Countryman has been launched in India with a starting price tag of Rs. 39.50 lakhs for the Cooper S and Rs. 43.40 lakhs (both prices ex-showroom) for the Cooper S JCW Inspired variants, today.

Available in 6 colour options such as Sage Green (new), White Silver (new), British Racing Green, Chilli Red, Island Blue and Midnight Black, the compact “sports activity vehicle”, as its maker calls it, now has a new front profile.

The radiator grille is new and so are the front bumper and LED headlights. MINI has also fitted the 2021 Countryman with new LED tail lamps featuring the Union Jack design, and new 17-inch “Imprint Spoke Wheels”.

Sporting a contrasting roof, the 2021 MINI Countryman also has roof rails. The Cooper S JCW Inspired variant comes with bespoke areodynamic kit and 18-inch “Thrill Spoke Wheels”

MINI has equipped the Countryman Cooper S JCW Inspired with a new 5.5-inch digital display, head-up display, 8-inch touchscreen, leather Chester upholstery in Malt Brown or Satellite Grey with matching colour line (door panel, armrest and knee pads) and MINI Yours Interior Style Shaded Silver Illuminated interior surface trim.

On the other hand, the Cooper S variant makes do with a 6.5-inch touchscreen and leatherette Carbon Black upholstery. LED interior, ambient lighting and driver’s side puddle lamp come as part of the MINI Excitement Pack offered in both trims and wireless charging is also standard.

Moreover, the car has a JCW sports leather steering wheel, Harman Kardon speaker system, panorama sunroof, MINI Wired Package including MINI Navigation System and Bluetooth connectivity, electric seat adjustment (with memory function for driver), and automatic tailgate combined with Comfort Access System that allows the boot to be opened and closed by waving one’s foot under the rear fender.

Power comes from a TwinPower Turbo 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that makes a peak power output of 192 HP and 280 Nm of maximum torque. It comes mated to a 7-speed double clutch transmission and enables the car to sprint to 100 km/hr from standstill in 7.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 225 km/hr.

The Cooper S JCW Inspired comes with a revised version of the same transmission that has a broader gear spread and also adds paddle shifters on the steering to make the drive more engaging.

Further, the 2021 MINI Countryman comes with driving modes (MID, Sport and Green), driver assistance systems like cruise control, park assistant, rear-view camera and top notch safety features.

Now, the Countryman is available with an “Absolute Value” offer that lets MINI customers own the Countryman for a period of 3 or 4 years with a comprehensive ownership package. This offer will be available for both variants of the car till the end of June 2021.
