Maruti Suzuki has released an official teaser video of the 2021 Swift facelift which will soon hit the market.
The short teaser video does not reveal much, but, it does let out the fact that the hatchback will come with a dual tone paint scheme. Also, the DRLs have received the mildest of changes.
A brief visit to the Maruti Suzuki official website, however, revealed how the new radiator grille will look like. Sporting a different mesh design, there is a chrome bar smack in the middle of the grille.
However the front bumper does not seem to have received any updates, much like the tail lights and the rear bumper.
Spotted on test earlier this year (read article here), the 2021 Maruti Swift facelift will also come with a new-generation 1.2-litre K series engine that is expected to put out a maximum of 90 PS and 113 Nm of peak torque.
While it will come with with idle start-stop tech, gearbox options that will be offered with it include a 5-speed manual and an AMT with equal number of gears as the manual.
Although the 2021 Maruti Swift facelift teaser does not reveal the interior of the hatchback, we know for sure that it will come with a coloured instrument cluster, SmartPlay Studio infotainment system, cruise control, among several other features.
The car is soon expected to hit Maruti’s Arena showrooms and will likely cost more than the current model on sale, the top variant of which costs Rs. 8.02 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
