The interior of a 2021 Mahindra XUV500 has been spied once again and the SUV’s twin digital screens can be seen in working order.
Spotted by MotorBeamer Shankhanil Tamuli, the development mule’s exterior was completely covered in camouflage wrap. But, that was not the case when it came to its insides.
As can be seen from the video above, the car will feature a new multifunction steering wheel with backlit switches surrounded by metal-effect trim and brushed metal-esque lower spoke.
Behind it, sitting proudly on top of the dual tone dashboard, are the 2 display screens. The one on the right is the driver’s digital instrument cluster which has the speedometer to its left and the rev counter on the right side, with a gear position indicator at its centre.
Housed on the same plane, the touchscreen is also seen in all its glory. Expect the infotainment system to come with an array of latest features and connectivity options. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay should also be available.
Also, the air con vents with chrome/metal surround are visible in the 2021 Mahindra XUV500 interior spied recently, and so are the seats that are upholstered in a beige-coloured material.
On the outside, the new-generation XUV500 has a shorter front overhang in comparison to the rear and this particular model rides on alloy wheels.
The car has ORVMs featuring integrated blinkers, flush-fitting door handles, large windows with chrome garnish, roof rails, a roof spoiler at the rear and an upright tailgate with plenty of strong creases.
When it goes on sale, the XUV500 will come with both petrol and diesel engine options and likewise, it can be had either with a manual or an automatic gearbox.
It will rival the 2021 Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and the upcoming Hyundai Alcazar in the midsize SUV segment.
