2021 KTM RC 390 Prototypes Spied While On Test

Unveil is expected to take place by next year

2021 KTM RC 390 has been spied while undergoing testing in Europe and the popular entry-level sportsbike has several changes.

First up, the design looks much more pleasing to the eye as the fairing gets even more simpler, with minimal styling. KTM’s bring paintwork will always brighten things up a bit.

Big changes can be seen in the headlight section. The LED headlight unit has been integrated very well with the glass pane that seems to have grown slightly.

DRLs on the other hand are located at the edge of the fairing and even they too have been integrated seamlessly. The handlebar is new, expect the Austrian manufacturer to have concentrated on a bit more comfort this time around.

We can expect KTM to have worked tirelessly to make the frame that is based on the current KTM Duke 390, suitable for track use on the RC. Thus, there is a new subframe that allows for a lower seat pan and the pillion seat has changed.

Footrests too have been repositioned, as seen on the 2021 KTM RC 390 spied bike and another thing that caught our attention is the new braking system which should be more powerful this time around.

With respect to the engine, do not expect it to grow in size. However, we do notice that the cylinder head has been modified and so has the modified manifold routing, that results in a new exhaust system with a large silencer to meet the strict emissions norms that will be imposed in Europe in the near future.

Power figures of the bike should be the same as well, with 44 HP and 35 Nm produced from the single-cylinder motor. The Duke 390 is also expected to receive the modified cylinder head after the RC 390 is launched next year.
