A development mule of the 2021 KTM RC 200 has been spotted testing recently without any camouflage.
Overall, the design is identical to that seen on the 2021 KTM RC 390 test mules so far. Since the current generation KTM RCs share the design and several components, it is not surprising though.
The completely black pre-production motorcycle, oddly sporting an orange rear wheel, has two things that point to us that it is the smaller RC and they are the halogen headlight and the smaller exhaust.
Being a 200cc model, the 2021 KTM RC 200 spied motorcycle has the halogen setup that the KTM Duke 200 sports. The bigger RC 390, however, will get the LED headlight cluster.
Moreover, the test mule has an underbelly exhaust unit and not the side-mounted exhaust canister that its bigger brother will sport.
One spy shot of the bike also reveals that the 2021 KTM RC 200 will come with a fully digital unit, likely to be the TFT console from the Duke 390. Also, the test mule has an LED tail lamp similar to the one used in the current gen and unlike that seen on the 2021 RC 390 spy shots.
Like its predecessor, the 2021 RC 200 will borrow components from the RC 390, and thus sport a larger front disc, new fairing with integrated LED indicators, apart from certain mechanical bits.
Engine-wise, the upcoming model is likely to draw power from the same BS6-compliant 199.5 cc single-cylinder motor that makes 25 HP and a little over 19 Nm that does duty on the Duke 200.
