Kawasaki has launched the Versys 650 BS6 with a price tag of Rs. 6.79 lakhs (ex-showroom) in India and customers can book the model starting today.
To be available in Candy Lime Green colour the middleweight adventure tourer has been launched as a 2021 model. Unusually, the Japanese bike maker states that the Versys 650 is impossible to categorise, boasting about its capabilities.
The Kawasaki Versys 650 BS6 price has been hiked by Rs. 10,000/- in our country, a price to pay to keep the environmentalists happy.
Design of the bike has not been tampered with and thus, the sharp and sporty styling is the same, with the only visual difference on the motorcycle being the new paint scheme.
Power for the middle-weight adventure tourer comes from the updated 649cc parallel-twin engine that now produces 66 PS of power (down from 69 PS) and 61 Nm of torque (down from 64 Nm) for effortless touring.
Suspension-wise, the bike gets 41 mm inverted telescopic forks with adjustable rebound damping (right-side) and adjustable preload (left-side) upfront and offset laydown single-shock with remote spring preload adjustability at the rear.
Stopping power comes from dual 300 mm petal discs at the front and single 250 mm petal disc at the rear. Other features offered on the bike include an adjustable windscreen, large volume fuel tank (21 litres), 17-inch wheels and a wide handlebar.
