The unveil of the 2021 Jeep Compass facelift has taken place at the ongoing 2020 Guangzhou International Motor Show.
Jeep’s facelifted SUV had already been spotted in China and now has been revealed officially in the neighbouring country and will soon make its way to India as well.
On the outside, the Compass now gets tweaked headlights with DRLs, 7-slat chrome grille with honeycomb-like inserts, a new front bumper and a larger air dam that is flanked by fog lamps.
No noticeable changes have been made to either the sides or the rear of the SUV. But it does features roof rails, LED taillights and a skid plate at the back.
Compass Trailhawk variant also gets a new front bumper, alloy wheels and black and red decals on the bonnet, blacked-out grille, red tow hooks and model-specific badges.
Inside, the 2021 Jeep Compass facelift unveil confirms what we had been speculating for a while now as it sports a revised interior.
Now, there is a 10.1-inch “floating” touchscreen for the UConnect 5 infotainment system, that will support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and Amazon Alexa, on the dash that features double-stitched leather inserts and brushed aluminium-esque trim.
Slim AC vents and air con controls sit below the digital screen, while there is also, among other things, a new steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, grey leather seats and a panoramic sunroof.
With the 2021 Jeep Compass facelift unveil having taken place in China, the model is expected to get launched in India next year. It will come powered by the current model’s 1.4-litre turbo-petrol and 2.0-litre diesel engines.
