Classic Legends seems to be working on a new variant of the 2021 Jawa Forty Two with blacked out parts and alloy wheels.
So far the Jawa brand of 2-wheelers have not set sales charts on fire in India and their December 2020 sales cumulatively stood at 2764 units.
Having received limited response from customers so far, the brand seems to have understood where it is lacking and has gotten around to fixing its issues.
The 2021 Jawa Forty Two spied testing on public roads does not seem to sport any design changes, for there was nothing wrong with the way the original looked, save for the short seat.
But, most of the components, barring the engine now come in black. For instance, the headlight trim, indicator casings, front and rear suspension units and the exhaust pipes all come in black.
Also, the 2021 Jawa Forty Two spied bike rides on alloy wheels (also in black), while there are a few extras such as a flyscreen, crash bar and at the rear, a new grab handle, as well.
It must be said that with so many blacked out components, Jawa should offer the engine either in black or in brushed-metal effect to go with the colour theme.
Speaking of colours, it is not known if the 2021 Forty Two will come with new paint options. It does come with 6 stunning shades as of now, but a pure white and black paint choices are sorely missed.
No changes are expected to be made to the motorcycle’s engine. Thus, the 293cc single cylinder motor is likely to continue putting out a maximum of 26.51 PS and 27 Nm of torque and will come mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Due to there being no mechanical changes, this new variant is expected to be launched soon and sit alongside the existing Jawa Forty Two.
Price-wise the addition of alloy wheels alone would be enough for the firm to ask more than it does now, which is Rs. 1.65 lakhs (single-channel ABS) and Rs. 1.74 lakhs (both prices ex-showroom, New Delhi) for the dual-channel ABS model.
