2021 Jaguar F-Pace facelift has been revealed and the refreshed model gets more electrified powertrain options this time around.
Changes on the exterior can be seen on the new bonnet which has a wider power bulge, the grille has been enlarged and features diamond detailing, while the front bumper has been revised along with the air intakes. Headlights are new and feature “Double J” DRLs.
The side profile remains the same, while at the rear we can see new taillights that feature Jaguar’s double chicane graphic first previewed on the I-PACE. Plus, there is a new bumper and a revised tailgate too.
Customers can choose the R-Dynamic specification and doing so will get them design elements for a more performance-focused look. Also, optional on all models – S, SE and HSE – is the Black exterior pack.
Interior of the car has seen the most changes this time around. There is a new 12.3-inch driver’s display, 11.4-inch curved glass touchscreen in magnesium alloy casing for the Pivi Pro infotainment system, a new drive selector knob, repositioned electric window switches, new seats, among others.
Open-pore wood veneers and aluminium feature in upper door insert, there are other finishes available too, while full width “Piano lid” is present across the width of the instrument panel, along with laser-etched mid-line speaker frets.
Features offered on 2021 Jaguar F-Pace facelift include cabin air ionisation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Baidu CarLife, Pivi Pro connectivity through embedded dual-sim technology with two LTE modems, Software-Over-The-Air (SOTA) capability, Segment-first Active Road Noise Cancellation, Activity Key, among others.
Engines offered with the facelifted SUV include Jaguar’s latest 2.0-litre 4-cylinder and 3.0-litre inline-6 Ingenium petrol and diesel engines. Barring the 247 BHP 2.0-litre petrol configuration and 296 BHP 3.0-litre 6-cylinder turbo diesel, all powertrains come with electric assistance.
While most are mild-hybrids, one – the P400e which has a combined output of 398 BHP and 640 Nm from a 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol and an electric motor powered by a 17.1 kWh Li-ion battery – is a plug-in hybrid. All powertrain options come mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel-drive as standard.
India launch of the 2021 Jaguar F-Pace will take place next year along with a slight price increase, but that will be justified by the added kit on offer with the car.
