The 2021 Force Gurkha gets an updated interior and exterior.
The 2021 Force Gurkha is finally here with a price tag of Rs. 13.59 lakhs (ex-showroom). It has been a long wait since it was first showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo.
The new Gurkha comes with some significant styling updates while retaining the same old school design. It gets new bumpers, new front grille with bold lettering, new headlamps with integrated DRLs, large rear windows, large rear windshield, new tail lamps, etc.
The new interior comes in a dark theme and looks much more practical than the barebones cabin of the outgoing model.
It gets a new dashboard with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, new instrument cluster with MID, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, USB charging ports, 4 captain seats, etc.
In terms of safety, Force is offering tyre pressure monitoring system, rear parking sensors, dual front airbags, ABS, EBD and ISOFIX mounts.
It is powered by the same 2.6-litre turbo diesel engine which has been updated to comply with the BS6 norms. It produces 91 HP at 3200 RPM and 250 Nm torque between 1400 and 2400 RPM.
It comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. There is no auto transmission on offer. It comes with 4×4 as standard with low range and manual locking front and rear differentials.
The 2021 Force Gurkha is offered with a single, fully-loaded trim. Bookings have commenced officially while the deliveries will start from 15th October. It competes directly against the new Mahindra Thar.
