BMW has launched the 2021 2-Series Gran Coupe petrol in India with a Rs. 40.90 lakhs (ex-showroom) introductory price tag.
Named the 220i M Sport, the sedan is Rs. 50,000 costlier than the base 220d Sport Line and is available at dealerships starting today.
Design-wise, the sedan looks identical to the diesel models, with its coupe-esque profile, full-LED lighting, frameless doors, and muscular lines.
Colour options the 2-Series comes with include Alpine White (non-metallic), Black Sapphire, Melbourne Red, Storm Bay, Misano Blue (M Sport only) and Snapper Rocks (M Sport only).
Inside, the 2021 BMW 2-Series Gran Coupe petrol, once again, has the same cabin as the diesel models, that is well put together, featuring sport seats with electrical memory function, illuminated trim, ambient lighting, a panorama sunroof, among other things.
The choice of upholstery combinations includes Sensatec Oyster Black and Sensatec Black, while the car has a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.25-inch control display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Virtual Assistant.
In addition, features such as gesture control, wireless smartphone charging, Parking Assistant with rear-view camera, Reversing Assistant and auto start/stop are on offer as well.
Moreover, there is brake energy regeneration and safety features like 6 airbags, ABS, Brake Assist, wheel slip limitation, DTC, EDLC, CBC, electric parking brake with auto hold, among several others on offer with the 2021 BMW 2-Series Gran Coupe petrol.
Powered by a 2.0-litre BMW TwinPower Turbo petrol engine, the car has 190 HP and 280 Nm and can accelerate from zero to 100 km/hr in 7.1 seconds. Keen drivers can use launch control to see how quickly the car reaches its 240 km/hr top speed, while there are driving modes on offer as well.
