Bentley has introduced the Bentayga S for 2021 as a more dynamic variant of the posh SUV. The Crewe-based carmaker says the S version of the Bentayga was created after receiving customer feedback about the on-road dynamic performance of the “regular” model.
The 2021 Bentley Bentayga S comes with “Blackline Specification” as standard. Thus, it gets dark tint lenses to headlamps and tail lights, black door mirrors, black split oval tailpipes and other gloss black exterior trim. Further, the car has a larger rear spoiler, 22-inch wheels (available in 3 finishes) and model-specific badges.
The SUV’s luxurious cabin has also received changes for the sporty model. It now has new seats, new colour split (covering centre console, door pads, instrument panel and seat bolsters), unique stitching and Alcantara has been used in abundance. Model-specific graphics, motifs and badges can be found inside as well.
A 4.0-litre twin-scroll turbo V8 petrol engine putting out 542 BHP and 770 Nm powers the 2021 Bentley Bentayga S. The SUV can complete the 0-100 km/hr dash in 4.5 seconds and go on to hit a top speed of 290 km/hr.
But, the Bentayga S is about offering a more dynamic ride and thus, it comes with an enhanced “Sports” chassis mode, increased damping stiffness (by 15 percent), recalibrated torque vectoring (by brake) system and a unique Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Bentley Dynamic Ride tune.
What’s more, the luxury SUV also gets a more sporting soundtrack courtesy of a free-flowing sports exhaust. But, in a luxurious SUV, it could well prove to be more of a futile exercise.
Finally, Bentley claims the sports variant of the SUV is still very capable off-road when equipped with the All-Terrain specification that features 4 modes (Snow and Wet Grass, Dirt and Gravel, Mud and Trail, and Sand).
