Benelli has launched the 2021 Imperiale 400 at an asking price of Rs. 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs. 10,000/- lesser than the 2020 model year version of the bike.
The reduction in price is due to increased localised content and strengthening of the rupee against the dollar, claims the bike manufacturer.
No changes have been made to the model either aesthetically or mechanically, meaning the bike continues to sport the same classic looks and minimal equipment.
Sporting a 374cc, single-cylinder engine that puts out 21 PS at 6000 RPM and 29 Nm at 3500 RPM that comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox, the motorcycle weighs 205 kg.
While both the BS4- and BS6-compliant motors put out the same power and torque figures, they are delivered at a different RPM range, claimed Benelli when it launched the BS6-compliant Imperiale 400 last year.
Built on a double cradle frame, the motorcycle has 41 mm telescopic forks upfront and preload-adjustable shock absorbers at the rear. A single 300 mm front and 240 mm rear disc provide the stopping power and there is dual-channel ABS as well.
Now, the 2021 Benelli Imperiale 400 price includes a 2-year and unlimited kilometre warranty, that can also be extended for a further 2 years, and 24×7 roadside assistance service.
Benelli is confident that the launch of 2021 Imperiale 400 will further strengthen its sales in the country.
