Audi has launched the 2021 S5 Sportback in India with a price tag of Rs. 79.06 lakhs (ex-showroom), today. Brought in through the CBU route, this is the German marque’s second product launch of 2021, here.
Featuring S-specific design elements, the 4-door sports sedan with a coupe silhouette has Matrix LED headlamps with dynamic turn signals upfront along with a revised “Singleframe” radiator grille, larger air intakes and a small front splitter.
Along the sides, the ORVMs have aluminium-esque caps, a shoulder line runs the entire length of the car and there are 19-inch alloy wheels in Graphite Gray, while at the rear the car has split LED tail lamps, a spoiler integrated into the boot lid, model-specific bumper and a redone diffuser.
Offered with a choice of 8 paint finishes, the 2021 Audi S5 Sportback price can be further increased by opting for the optional Black styling package to make the striking motor stand out even more.
The interior of the S5 Sportback is the typical Audi affair, meaning the layout, primarily featuring horizontal lines, is simple and yet pleasing to the eye.
Sitting atop the dashboard with brushed aluminium inlays is a 10-inch touchscreen, while the driver gets a customisable 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
Other features the 2021 Audi S5 Sportback price gets customers include a panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable front sports seats with driver side memory function, leather/Alcantara upholstery (Black and Rotor Gray color options), sport leather flat-bottom steering wheel, illuminated door sill strips, ambient lighting, 3-zone automatic air conditioning and Audi Sound system.
As optional extras, customers can choose Audi Park Assist, Comfort Key with sensor controlled luggage compartment release, a head-up display, 19-speaker, 755 W Bang & Olufsen Premium Sound system and red brake callipers.
Powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 TFSI petrol engine that delivers a maximum of 354 HP and 500 Nm of torque, the performance sedan sports an 8-speed Tiptronic gearbox that sends the engine’s power to the quattro all-wheel drive system with a self-locking center differential.
The car can crack the 0 to 100 km/hr run in 4.8 seconds and top out at 250 km/hr. It comes with 4 driving modes, sports suspension (damper control optional), and despite being focused on performance, also features a start-stop system to help owners keep their fuel bills in check.
